FORMER ASSET : DIDON FIELD SUCCESS STORY

of Tunisia at 70 meters' depth in the Gulf of Gabes

Use of refurbished equipment together with know-how enabled the development of the field at a low cost
(USD 36 M), a third of the cost evaluated
by other companies
During the 4th quarter of 2004, decision was made to go ahead with the second phase of development by adding
a fixed platform in order to increase the production rate
from 12 000 b/d to 20 000 b/d by drilling additional aerial wells. The field has been sold to another company and is still in production under the Medex scheme.
